Happy August

Happy August to you. I hope you have been staying cool and having a nice, fun and safe summer. If you have been traveling and feeling a somewhat out of balance, perhaps a little reset is in order. Traveling is great, I have been doing quite a bit this summer. It is fun to explore new beautiful places, visit with family and friends and eat out. But we can only carry on this way for so long. Eventually, you begin to pay the price. You may notice your sleep is a bit off or your digestion is feeling sluggish. Maybe you feel a little heavier or your skin seems dull.  If I am without my daily routine for very long I really begin to see and feel the difference.  Thank the good lord we have the principles of Ayurveda to help us get back on track. Relish the flavor and the benefit of fresh dill to calm the liver, aid in digestion and help to balance your sleep. The fresh curry leaf is high in antioxidants, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. This lovely little leaf also helps to regulate blood and cholesterol levels.  Look for fresh curry in an Indian grocery the delicious taste is worth the effort. Cilantro and coriander help regulate energy when feeling depleted from the heat while also supporting the spleen, stomach, and bladder. As a side note, when used together they are great for urinary tract infections.  Enjoy the healing benefits of grated coconut, carrots, snow peas, and delicata squash.
