When the shadow comes...

Tomorrow, July 2nd is a full solar eclipse. These auspicious events are a great time to create space for introspection. I am using the time to contemplate what blocks my light and more importantly my reaction to the shadow.

We all have periods of darkness where we don't see, feel, or experience our inner shining light. When sitting in shadows, we forget that the light of the soul is still shining. The light never dims, but we block the radiance with traumas and dramas.

The moon will move in front of the sun on Tuesday and a shadow will be cast for several hours over the southern part of the planet. Similarly, we all have times where we feel a shadow passing over us and sometimes it does feel like a complete eclipse.

This shadow could appear in the form of health, relationship, work, financial or number of life challenges that casts darkness over our lives. These times are the optimal time for growth. When everything is easy breezy, we are not pushed into growing grace, patience, compassion, peace, love, forgiveness or whatever it is we need to learn.

This is a life work in progress. I have not mastered any of this, but I am always doing my best to grow in this area. It is not meant to be easy at all. Be still in the shadow, be still and listen for the lessons that are being brought. It is only when we are grounded in our meditative or wisdom mind that we hear the lessons the shadow brings.

Shine on my sweet friends. We are here to be reminders and supporters of each other's light.
