Spring Awakenings 🌼
Spring is the time for new life and new beginnings. I am watching new life spring into existence in our yard. In January Tyler planted three fruit trees. They were bare root stock, basically it looked like he planted a few sticks in the ground. Now these sticks are coming to life sprouting fresh green leaves and beautiful colorful buds.
This got me thinking about prana and potential. Even as little sticks these trees held a vital life energy. We are like these trees. We have unlimited potential within us that only needs some nurturing, nutrients and tending before we blossom into our dharma or our life’s mission.
What practices do you partake in to nurture and feed yourself?
How do you cultivate the necessary prana to bloom?
These nutrients can be physical exercise, breathing techniques, meditation, art, creativity and anything that we take in with our senses.
We have a tendency to forget that at the core of our being we are innately beautiful, creative, intuitive and blissful. We get bogged down, stressed out, disconnected and forget that we do have this unlimited potential to bloom.
The beautiful, delicious fruit we create is in the form of our talents, with which we can fulfill our dharma.
Spring is the perfect time to reset our system and give ourselves a reboot.
Mother Nature is very helpful by providing foods that have cleansing properties during this season.
We are entering Kapha time of year.
Kapha is heavy, moist, dull and sluggish.
Look at how many folks you may know right now that are experiencing colds, stuffy heads, coughs and excess mucus. If we continue to eat the heavier grounding foods of winter during this transition these imbalances will show up. If we eat what is being harvested right now we will notice how spring foods can scrub our insides and reduce the heaviness of moisture.
Are you ready for a reboot?
I am offering a variety of workshops to support you in your journey.
We will be exploring the sub-doshas, learning how to make ghee, uncovering ayurvedic daily rituals and diving into the principles of cleansing in the spring. Also one of my favorite quarterly rituals, a moving meditation of 108 Sun Salutations. It is going to be a busy month and I am excited to support you in your process of blooming.
Happy Spring my friends.
