Guava Mango Chutney

I picked up some guava from one of my favorite vendors at the farmers market this weekend. This amazing tropical fruit does well in our desert climate as it not only loves humidity but also appreciates a dry heat too. With a memorable floral aroma and a unique blend of astringent and sweet taste when it graces your tongue, guava balances Vata, Pitta & Kapha and has many health benefits. This high fiber, low sugar ball of goodness is rich in minerals, proteins, and vitamins A and C. Guava is dense and filling and can work as a potent laxative. Guava supports both the lymphatic and skeletal systems. I opted to make a delicious guava mango chutney.
